About Me:
This is my ninth year teaching 2nd grade. I taught kindergarten for six years, and I taught 4th grade for four years. I feel that my experience has prepared me for this grade level. I know what the students should know, and I know what they should be prepared to do. I am very excited to be in this position.
I also have many hobbies. I like to do anything outdoors. I like camping, hiking, and fishing. In addition, I have learned to enjoy gardening and completing home improvement projects. I also like movies. My favorites are Star Wars, the Lord of the Rings, and comedies. When I find the time, I like to go fishing and camping. I also enjoy coaching my children in sports such as soccer, softball, and baseball. Anyone that knows me knows that I am a big sports fan. I will always root for the Lakers, Raiders, USC, and the Dodgers.
Education:
I attended UC Santa Cruz and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I then earned my Teaching Credential, Masters in Education, and an Administrative Credential at Cal State Dominguez Hills. I'm now considering going back to school to earn a Doctorate Degree.
Family:
I'm married to my lovely wife Brenda. We have 3 great children. Isaiah is 12 years old, Nicolas is 9 years old, and Sofia is 8 years old. We like going to as many places as we can find. We like to go camping, to museums, Sea World, Disneyland, the Aquaruim of the Pacific, the LA Zoo, many Dodger games, and of course the park and the beach! We also like to play sports such as soccer, basketball, and baseball. When at home we like to play games, read books, or watch movies. We also like to train and play with our dog "Jackie".
